About

I have always loved to write, so I don’t know why I didn’t pursue it when I went to Seattle Pacific University. I graduated in 1990 with a BA in Business Management. I have used my business training in banking and ministry/non-profit settings. Like everyone else, I spent a lot of time at home during the pandemic of 2020, so I decided to use that time to go back to school. I graduated from Liberty University with an MA in Professional Writing in May 2023.

I grew up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. I always said I would never live in Duvall once I graduated from high school, but I have long since learned to never say never! I met Randy, the love of my life, at SPU, and we got married in 1989. A year later we moved to Duvall where we lived for 20 years. Moving from Duvall to the Los Angeles area with two kids in high school was quite the adventure. We loved our Disneyland passes and the church we served, ONE&ALL, in San Dimas.

Our son, Nick, married SaraJane in 2019. They moved to San Antonio, Texas shortly after and had our first granddaughter in 2022. God had plans for Randy and I! He moved us to San Antonio in August of 2023 where we get to spend a lot of time with baby girl. Our daughter, Kim, stayed in Los Angeles, so we are still away from one of our kids, but we sure enjoy being local grandparents.

I am working part-time for Kingdom One, a great ministry that helps churches with the more “technical” side of things. After working in the Finance office at ONE&ALL for 9 years, I continue to use that experience to help other churches with their accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll. It is a perfect way to help pay the bills while I pursue this dream of writing.

I don’t know what God has in store for me, but I know he has good plans. I am not too old to start a new career and can’t wait to share my adventure with you.
